The elves are a noble, long-lived race born of the forest. Creatures of elegance and tall stature, with strikingly beautiful features, these ancient beings embrace Nature herself before that of civilization. Elves tend to be keepers of the flora and animals, holding all life precious despite the longevity of their own. A race whimsical in nature, they indulge in simple joys, being strong and uplifting in aversion to daunting tasks, and though they may be standoffish at first, Elvenfolk make fearsome and truly loyal allies when befriended. However like most races, these individuals can vary in shapes and sizes, even personalities.
Generally the tallest race of elves the range from pale to darker tan complexions and hold beautiful refined features. Many come off as arrogant, and xenophobic. They are physically stronger than other elves and are usually inclined to arcane magic.
Height and skin hues can vary. These elves are wild in the sense they are the most barbaric of all their kin. Feral, intelligent, and rugged, they are extremely athletic and lithe. Despite their tribal mindset they can be very methodic and cunning. They also can communicate with beasts through a knack of understanding one's body language, but are unable to learn most spoken languages, if one is to learn, it is usually only common and elven.
The shortest of all the elven races. They usually possess ghostly white, pale, or purple tinted skin tones. Their hair is almost always white or Grey. They tend to be Nomadic unlike most other races and feel comfortable in most areas of the world. A lot of Moon elves come off as intelligent and cryptic. These elves are inclined to more Divine magics rather than Arcane.
A variant of Sunelf that has adapted to the harsh climate of the Desert, able to survive days without water and food. They are usually medium toned and physically stronger than other elves. Their skin has hardened from prolonged exposure to the sun and sand. A lot tend to be charming and rugged.
Wood elves are masters of the forest and they excel at tracking. They are of medium height and complexion and their features are usually chiseled and defined. Not to be confused with Wild Elves, Wood Elves are a bit more socially intelligent but live their lives in small settlements within deep forest.
The most Wicked of Elves, created by the Goddess of Calamity, Vesa. They grow to a medium height and do not generally get any taller to accommodate cave dwelling. They are the only elves to have a black or dark grey skin tone and their hair is always white. They are typically harsh, brutal and, xenophobic. Living within Matriarchal societies, men tend to be second class citizens while the women of this race are ironfisted. Drows eyes are sensitive to bright light but can have nocturnal vision that allows them to see perfectly in darkness.
Small to medium stature, long feathered wings that resemble birds of prey, and a light to medium skin tone makes up Avariels. They are known to be xenophobic when raised in their own society but can adapt well to a melting pot society. Their demeanors usually consist of being very peaceful, or extremely belligerent nature. Their bones are hollow and are easily broken but they are the only elves to have wings for flight. Half elven offspring produced by Avariels are not born with wings.
Lythari are elves with the ability to shapechange into a large direwolf. In their humanoid form they are small to medium in stature and their skintone varies. Lythari are known to be submissive and protective, but not aggressive. While shifted they keep their elven mentality and are aware of their surroundings. Lythari are extremely sensitive to their surroundings and their senses are sharper than most other elves. While in their animal forms, Lythari cannot speak but communicate through body language as any mundane animal would.
Not to be confused with Drow, Dusk Elves are a head taller and have skintones that vary between light purple, light blue, and grey blue. Their hair color is predominately black but there are rare cases of white, and blonde. They have elegent, refined features, and are typically more friendly and sociable than their reclusive cousins. Being the descedants of Drow and High Elven offspring, They commonly reside in human settlements and are bastardized by most other elven communities. These elves are strongly inclined to arcane magic and hold an affinity to shadow.

Elves reach physical and mental maturity at the age of 100. An elf can live for as long as it is not killed, though most willingly return to their Goddess's realm around the age of 1000 through a ritual known as "Entula eska."
